Tests in every diff
Generated tests now live inside the pull request diff, with coverage deltas reported for every file they touch.
When CodeCraft writes tests alongside a change, they now appear in the same diff as the code — so reviewers see intent and verification together.
Coverage deltas shown per file in the pull request summary
The --tests flag now defaults to your configured test runner
Failing tests block the pull request from opening
v2.3
Languages
C
CodeCraft release
Zig beta and 2× faster indexing
Zig joins the language list in beta, and incremental indexing now finishes in half the time on large repositories.
Indexing is the first thing CodeCraft does in every project, so we rebuilt it to reuse work between commits.
Zig support for build.zig projects and C interop
Incremental indexing reuses unchanged symbols between commits
Median index time for 10k-file repos down from 41s to 19s
v2.2
Team
C
CodeCraft release
Team style rules
Share lint rules, naming conventions and banned patterns across every project in a workspace.
Teams told us they were repeating the same instructions in every prompt. Now you can define them once.
Define rules in workspace settings or a .codecraft.yml file
Rules apply to every generation and refactor automatically
Violations are flagged in the diff summary before review
v2.1
Integrations
C
CodeCraft release
GitLab merge requests
CodeCraft can now open merge requests on GitLab, with the same summaries and test results you get on GitHub.
GitLab was our most requested integration. It works with both GitLab.com and self-managed instances.
Supports GitLab.com and self-managed GitLab 16 or later
Merge request descriptions include the generation summary
Pipeline status is reported back to the CLI
v2.0
Release

CodeCraft 2.0: diff-first generation
Every generated change now arrives as a scoped, reviewable diff instead of a regenerated file.
Our biggest release yet changes how CodeCraft hands work back to you: small, explicit changes you can review in seconds.
Diffs scoped to the lines that actually change
A plain-English summary of intent on every change
New codecraft gen command with pull request support
v1.9
