TL;DR
The short version
§01
Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself or the organisation you represent. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Services.
If you’ve signed a separate agreement with us, that agreement takes precedence where it conflicts with these Terms.
Plain English
Using CodeCraft means you agree to these terms.
§02
Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You’re responsible for all activity under your account and for your team members’ use of the Services.
Tell us promptly at security@codecraft.dev if you suspect unauthorised access.
Plain English
Keep your login safe. You’re responsible for your workspace.
§03
Ownership of output
As between you and CodeCraft, you own the code and content generated for you (“Output”).
On paid plans you may use Output for any lawful purpose, including commercial use. On the Free plan, Output is licensed for personal, non-commercial use.
Plain English
You own your output. Commercial use needs a paid plan.
§04
Acceptable use
You may not use the Services to break the law, infringe others’ rights, create malware, attempt to extract or reverse-engineer our models, or get around usage limits.
Plain English
Build anything legitimate. Don’t build harm.
DO
Generate, refactor and test your own code
Use Output commercially on paid plans
Automate CodeCraft with the CLI and API
DON’T
Create malware or code for attacks
Scrape or reverse-engineer our models
Share accounts to avoid seat limits
§05
Plans & billing
Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Fees already paid are non-refundable, except where required by law.
Plain English
Pay monthly or yearly. Cancel whenever you like.
§06
Your code & data
You keep all rights to the code and data you submit (“Customer Content”). You grant us a limited licence to process Customer Content only to provide the Services to you.
We do not use Customer Content to train AI models.
Plain English
Your code stays yours. We only process it to answer you.
§07
Availability
We work hard to keep the Services available and publish real-time status on our Status page. Enterprise plans include a 99.9% uptime commitment as set out in your order form.
Plain English
We aim to stay up. Formal SLAs are for Enterprise.
§08
Warranties & liability
Output is provided “as is”. You’re responsible for reviewing and testing Output before relying on it in production.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from these Terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Plain English
Review what CodeCraft writes. Our liability is capped.
§09
Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible. On termination, you can export your data for 30 days.
Plain English
Either side can end things. You’ll get time to export.
§10
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll post changes here and email workspace owners at least 30 days before material changes take effect.
Plain English
We’ll tell you before anything important changes.
